Welcome to the home page of the Saltney & Saltney Ferry History Group.
On Thursday 18th September 1986 a group of local people - Neville Shallcross, John Dixon, Jim and Brenda Lowe, Les Foden,
Terry Driscoll, Peter Timmins and Brian Clarke - met at what was to be the first Saltney & Saltney Ferry History Group meeting.
The aims of our group have been established amongst the members as follows:-
To enjoy each others company through a shared interest in our community and its past. To produce booklets and other merchandise
relating to Saltney & Saltney Ferry's past. To provide a bank of educational resource materials and to develop links with the community
for the benefit of school pupils and adults alike.
Our group hold regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of every month (except August) in the sixth form common room at
St David's High School, Chester Road, Saltney, Flintshire, CH4 0AE. - 7 pm till 9 pm.
